Old Pennar School - What they intend to do!

Another quick post today, but these two pictures show Old Pennar School as it is now, a photograph taken form Treowen Road (via Google Street View) and a virtual construction using Sketchup of what it will be replaced by, taken from Google Earth.

Draw your own conclusions.

More views tomorrow.

  1. Architecturally there is little to commend this scheme to me - I do like the steep pitch of the roof but the flush eaves confirm that it is just another basic, high-density (swear-words) housing development which will quickly fade and become another carbuncle on the face of a once proud town. Shame, shame on the PCC as an authority and the individual councillors who can't see the wood for the cash. This has to be a dollar motivated proposal. Notice that the architect has purposefully omitted to show any vehicles or boundaries. Within a very short time of completion this will just be another budget development it is not sustainable and those buildings will certainly not last as long as the one being demolished !!
